A Lomi massage is not only for relaxation, but also for physical, mental and spiritual purification. The Huna view of health and disease is similar to that in traditional Chinese medicine: in a healthy body flows the energy (mana), diseases cause blockages that manifest themselves physically as tensions. The massage is intended to release these blockages on a physical and mental level and restore harmony to the body, mind and spirit.
